ZECREP Stakeholder’s Experience

30 June 2022

Representatives of ZECREP Stakeholders sitted in a meeting

Twatasha Disabled and OVC Organization through the Zambia Enhanced CBR Program (ZECREP) held a Stakeholder's experience sharing when we visited Stakeholders working with the project through AHDI, an implementing partner of the ZECREP Project in Lusaka.

During the visit we were honored to have held discussions with the Health Personnel at Kanyama General Hospital, Officers at the Department of Community Development, Office of the Member of Parliament (Kanyama Constituency) and the Volunteers. We were impressed with the levels of collaboration especially between the Office of the Member of Parliament and the Department of Community Development which offices are under one roof. Truly it is a classic example of a one-stop center for service delivery. Our team comprised the Kafue District Community Development Officer, the Sister -in Charge, Mutendere Clinic, a Field Worker (Volunteer) and the Project Officer.

The goals of the ZECREP Project can be achieved through the continued united investment encompassing other stakeholders on strengthening the technical capacity building of CBR workers and rehabilitation professionals. This visit is a step in that right direction for our goals, more so persons living with disabilities. Not forgetting the continued contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and working towards meeting the World Health Organization (WHO) Rehabilitation 2030 call for action while leaving no one quality of practical competencies of key stakeholders in CBR, disability inclusion in community activities and raising awareness; and invest in Capacity building in understanding disability and disability management
